SeaRose Studio, the home, studio and gallery of British Columbia artist Yvonne Maximchuk is located near Billy's Museum and Pierre's@Echo Bay, on the shore of Gilford Island in the Broughton Archipelago, east of Port McNeill, Vancouver Island. Yvonne paints sea- and landscapes, portraits and wildlife in acrylic and watercolor; and offers lessons, art workshops and art retreats.
Art retreat guests can design a stay from three to seven days; the instructional program is tailored to individual goals. Here you can explore and develop ceramic skills, both pottery throwing and hand building, glazing and firing techniques. We have three kilns for high-fired porcelain pottery, crystalline glaze ware and raku roosters and other raku creations.
Watercolor and acrylic painting workshops include in-studio or on location painting on one of the many scenic islands. Often killer whales or humpbacks go by the house and we drop everything to go take a look. Life is beautiful at SeaRose Studio !

Testimonial from Tonja B
"Yvonne, you don't just instruct, you nurture and guide in a way that is so
personally tailored to the expectations of my art aspirations of my future potential. You listened to my concerns, were excited with my strengths and
elated by my progress. The amount of yourself that you gave in teaching me
was far beyond my expectations of this experience, or what I have experienced from other instructors. Thank you for investing so much of yourself in making sure that I grew as an artist and a person. Thank you for identifying my roadblocks and helping me push past them to break through to the inspiration
I was searching for."
