Size, color, glazed and unglazed parts and some colour variability from gold, to white to blue to coppery can be achieved.  Roosters $500.00, cannot be shipped but we work hard to arrange pick-up or delivery to Vancouver Island. Boaters can pick up at SeaRose Studio.

Pottery makes a wonderfully personal gift; even at high fire temperatures many colors are available - copper reds, ranging from sweet purples to orange-red, sea-foam celadons, orange shino glazes and golden woody textured wood-ash glazes. A favorite design incorporates pressed patterns from cedar and other plants, as in the pie plate and sandwich plate. One of the most fugitive and beautiful surfaces is that of the crystalline glaze, center top row.

We offer wheel thrown and hand built porcelain dinner ware, high-fired to cone 10 (1250 C or 2300 F), each piece is original, and food safe. We do not guarantee use in microwave or dishwasher. I custom create dishes with a variety of animal motifs, cats, octopi, turtles, wolves and whales for example. Special orders can include dinner sets with your boat name, a natural or nautical design we can confer about. (Commissioned pottery can take several months.)
